Life hasn’t been kind to many of us.
The only shoulders to catch our tears have been our own,
And the only pillow that knows our sorrow
Is the one we’ve cried into.

Our palms have wiped away more pain
Than they’ve held love,
And we’ve worn smiles like masks—
Hiding the echoes of quiet heartbreak.

Often, we stand alone.
Sometimes, we fail to connect.
Sometimes, we don’t even try.

Adulthood is a strange place—
We gain freedom
But lose the warmth of ease.

We crave companionship,
Long for love,
Hunger for friendship—
And dream of a place
Where we can simply be,
Without needing to hold back tears.

A place soft enough for sadness,
And kind enough for healing.

A place where, one day i wish to be in.
